MAST WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT SUITE COMPLETES PROOF OF CONCEPT FIELD TRIAL AT A LARGE US ILEC
Evidence concludes that increased communications from DataLinx software tool can lead to cost-savings in service calls

The trial for the service provider has demonstrated that streamlining communications and workflow to their technicians will result in cost-effectively reducing service call times.
MAST is a proprietary development tool that DataLinx has designed to help reduce OpEx by allowing for rapid application changes and the ability to enable technicians to run their WorkForce Management programs on low cost ($350- $1100) wireless Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) devices with both voice and data capabilities. Prior to the development of wireless computing solutions and mobile WorkForce Management software such as MAST, technicians were unable to participate in real-time two-way communications with dispatch centers. By keeping the PDA devices with them at all times, technicians will more readily be able to optimize their work processes and providers will be able to maximize their resources.
The proof of concept trial was done to demonstrate the effects of MAST on overall service calls including installation, trouble-shooting and time management. DataLinx has completed the requirements and the development of a prototype that provides the actual MAST application in a simulated mode.
